Orlando · Florida
Greektopia plans formals, bid days, date parties and parents weekends for sorority and fraternity chapters at UCF.
UCF chapters plan in a city built around hospitality, which is a real advantage. Orlando has more large-capacity ballrooms than almost anywhere in the south, so the headcount problems that constrain other campuses simply do not arise here.
Where Chapters Go
about 25 minutes, hotels and event spaces
roughly 30 minutes, large-capacity ballrooms
about 50 minutes east for a coastal event
around an hour and 30 minutes west
Distances are approximate and given as a planning guide.
Orlando's hotel market moves with tourism rather than the academic calendar. That means availability is generally good, but pricing follows the city's busy seasons, and a date chosen around those is a cheaper date.
For most chapters we recommend booking a formal four to six months out, and earlier for a peak spring Saturday. Bid day and date parties need four to six weeks. Our guide to how far in advance to book explains what drives those numbers.
