Flagstaff · Arizona
Greektopia plans formals, bid days, date parties and parents weekends for sorority and fraternity chapters at NAU.
Flagstaff is the outlier in Arizona Greek life: seven thousand feet, real winters, and pine forest instead of desert. NAU chapters plan around snow rather than heat, and Sedona sits forty-five minutes down the hill for chapters that want a change of scenery.
Where Chapters Go
mountain lodges and downtown venues within minutes
about 45 minutes south, red rock resorts and a genuinely different backdrop
roughly two hours and fifteen minutes for resort formals
around four hours by road
Distances are approximate and given as a planning guide.
NAU's constraint is the opposite of the rest of the state. Winter formals mean snow and mountain driving, so transportation planning matters more here than almost anywhere we work, and a bus plan that ignores road conditions is not a plan.
For most chapters we recommend booking a formal four to six months out, and earlier for a peak spring Saturday. Bid day and date parties need four to six weeks. Our guide to how far in advance to book explains what drives those numbers.

Four to six months out, and earlier if the date falls in winter, when weather contingencies need to be built in.
