Waco · Texas
Greektopia plans formals, bid days, date parties and parents weekends for sorority and fraternity chapters at Baylor.
Baylor has one of the largest Greek communities in Texas sharing a modest local venue market, and that ratio defines planning here. Waco has good options and not many of them, while Austin and Dallas are both around an hour and forty minutes when a chapter needs more room.
Where Chapters Go
local hotels, historic venues and event spaces minutes from campus
short drives into the surrounding country
about an hour and 40 minutes south
roughly an hour and 40 minutes north
Distances are approximate and given as a planning guide.
Demand outruns local supply well before the semester begins. Chapters that decide in autumn get the Waco venues they wanted; chapters that wait until January are usually planning a coach trip instead.
For most chapters we recommend booking a formal four to six months out, and earlier for a peak spring Saturday. Bid day and date parties need four to six weeks. Our guide to how far in advance to book explains what drives those numbers.
